ARTISTS STATEMENT
"I strive for a sub-text that are part of a bigger story. I am intuitively interested in the response of my audience. I seek to inspire, and engage my viewer in the 'mini drama' of a sculpture. I am interested in challenging the viewers ideas about what is attractive. I like to think that my large figures, despite their girth, are compelling and beautiful.  I enjoy the challenge capturing movement, illusion of balance an of making heavy, look light. I am intrigued by flesh that disguises the predictable mechanics of a skeleton. Some of my ‘characters' are based on people I have observed, some are expansions on life studies and all of them are an expression of elements of my inner life."
